In the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, the UK’s highest award winning mountain railway, exhibition & restaurant provide year round inspiration, adventure and fun for everyone, no matter what age or physical ability.
CairnGorm Mountain Railway is Scotland's only mountain railway and the highest in the United Kingdom. This unique mountain transport system takes visitors of all ages and physical ability on a spectacular journey up the slopes of CairnGorm Mountain - the UK's sixth highest summit - providing a memorable insight into one of the UK's most valued and protected sub arctic landscapes.

On Fridays and Saturdays from the end of June through until September enjoy a sunset dining experience in the Ptarmigan Restaurant against the fantastic backdrop of Strathspey. On Thursday evenings, dance the night away at a CairnGorm Ceilidh - booking required for both.

The Ptarmigan is also available on summer evenings for private hire.
